Operation Backpack

 AN ANNUAL BACKPACK AND SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING EVERY STUDENT IN NEED START THE SCHOOL YEAR READY TO LEARN.
 

 
The Pettengill House collects new backpacks and school supplies every summer for students in need, grades pre-k through 12th, who attend school in the Amesbury, Newburyport, Triton, and Pentucket school districts. The Pettengill House distributes these backpacks and school supplies to families in need in late August before school starts.

If you need assistance through this program, please contact The Pettengill House to schedule an appointment.  Appointments are can be made beginning in late July for August pick-up.  Social workers can help new clients with these supplies throughout the school year.
